As an alternative, TCC use the waste heat from flue gas emitted by cement kiln and clinker cooler to produce steam that serves as power source for a steam turbine generator. The power generated by this steam turbine generator covers for more or less one third of power demand of HuaLien Cement Plant.

In addition, 3 heavy oil/diesel generators complete the power generation system of the cement plant.

This stable power supply provided by HuaLien Cogeneration Plant has been enabling TCC to reduce its power cost still producing regular cement.
