Quality Management
Since Onyx Ta-Ho took over the incineration plants, all working procedure for ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certifications were immediately institutionalized. ShuLin and TaiChung City Plants were the first two incineration plants worldwide accredited with ISO 14001 environmental management certification in April 1998. To implement comprehensively ISO management system, in 2000 Onyx Ta-Ho obtained ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 multi-site certifications. Any new incineration plant will be integrated into those certifications. In order to implement effectively the risk management and prevent any contingency, 4 incineration plants respectively of TaiChung City, ChiaYi City, LuTsao and LiTzer have been accredited with the OHSAS 18001 certification on 25th March 2008. In addition, ChiaYi City Plant is the first incineration plant countrywide accredited with ISO 14064-1 the Greenhouse Gas Statement in Taiwan.

Excellent Performance
Efficiency optimization and equipments maintenance are Onyx Ta-Ho’s first priorities. As a result, the efficiency of the plants operated by Onyx Ta-Ho are ranking first places nation-wide. In Annual Evaluation conducted by EPA on 22 Large-Scale Incineration Plants, Onyx Ta-Ho has received different prizes respectively in category of outstanding operation performance (1st prize and prize “excellent”), research and innovation, and self-improvement. In particular, LuTsao plant has been awarded the EPA prize six years in a row from 2002 to 2008 for its excellent performance. Furthermore, our plants won the “Promotion of Private Participation Award in Infrastructure Projects” from PCC (Public Construction Commission) of Executive Yuan.

In addition to providing high quality operation service of incineration plant, Onyx Ta-Ho has been actively involved in the BOO/BOT projects promoted by EPA and local governments. Onyx Ta-Ho awarded two 20-year BOO incineration plants contracts respectively in 2000 and 2001, with total capacity of 280 000 tons per annum.
